Sunset on the Vatican
Throws a blush over white stone.
The crowds have eased, are sleepier now,
Just tourists heading home.
The heat is hiding with the sun,
As the furnace declines and falls,
Leaving specks and streaks and highlights
On the Vatican’s marble walls.
